The Other Attraction
The Kittiewan Visitor's Center is the latest building constructed at Kittiewan. Mr. Cropper's devised the plan and specifications. The Visitor Center was built by Brian Patteson, Mr. Cropper's long-term neighbor on the property. It was constructed with multiple purposes in mind, and was also designed in a complementary style to the main house.
The building has public spaces, work spaces and a private apartment that Mr. Cropper lived in once it was built. The downstairs has the private apartment, the display area for part of Mr. Cropper's collection, part of the ASV collections and restroom facilities. It also is where tickets for touring the Mansion are sold. Books and other items are also for sale in the Gift Shop area of the Visitor's Center
The upstairs houses the ASV library and offices as well as copious storage space.
The basement has storage for ASV books and materials.
