Recent and Upcoming Events

Recent Events Christmas at Kittiewan - The Kittiewan Committee hosted an Open House at Kittiewan December 15, 2007 from 10-4 pm.     Our first official tour of the season.  The event was held on September 29, 2007.  Just in time for the Westover Church Fall Pilgrimage. Folks enjoyed the spring beauty here at Kittiewan April 26, 2008 for Garden Week.

Upcoming Events      Field School- Kittiewan will host the Archaeological Society of Virginia's ceritfication field school on site from May 10-18, 2008.  Volunteer days - It is that time of year to clean up from the winter.  We will be here every Wednesday and Saturday in May working on the house and grounds.

New Exhibits The Virginia Canal Society are setting up exhibits here at Kittiewan.  This will be a wonderful learning experience for those interested in the canals and waterways.

Getting Involved                        We have several options available for getting you involved that will meet your needs.
Make a Donation     The Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization.
Volunteer Your Time Library:    We have had some wonderful donations this year and now need assistance in getting them incorporated into our library.   Artifact Collections:   We have several tasks we are currently working on with our collections.
